Eurobarometer on Constitution: a positive attitude, but a lack of information

More than half of the citizens of the European Union say they know little about the Draft Constitution and a third more declare they have never heard about it. At the same time the study also shows that the public opinion is rather favourable to the Constitution, but that the indecision level remains high in most countries.

The United Kingdom faces legal action for failing to comply with Euratom Treaty requirements on radioactive waste

Civil judicial cooperation: Commission proposes speeding up work with a view to adopting the Lugano Convention

The European Commission has adopted a recommendation for a Council Decision authorising the opening of negotiations with a view to adopting the new Lugano Convention. The 1988 Lugano Convention allows for civil and commercial rulings to circulate between the Member States of the European Union, the EFTA States and Poland.
